The right-hander was not offered a contract after appearing in 48 games for the Tigers last season, registering a 4-1 record and a 3.55 earned-run average. In this two seasons in Detroit, Lopez had the same 4-1 mark with a 3.84 ERA. The right-hander's services are now available to all major league clubs as a free agent.
